Michelle Kelsey - Owner

The founder and owner of Nannies on Call, Michelle Kelsey has pioneered the most successful on call nanny agency in the greater Vancouver area. Cornering the need for reliable, flexible childcare with her educated, highly qualified English-speaking nannies, Michelle’s agency is a favorite among local families, film industry professionals and four and five star hotels.

While attempting to balance her home life with working full time, the idea for Nannies on Call was born; the mother of; Gabrielle (10) and Mikaela (8), Michelle has a keen understanding of working, professional parents and the frustrations they face in their search to find quality childcare.

Susan Lee - Client Service Manager

Susan has been with Nannies on Call since 2005. She joined the team as a nanny while returning to school in her 30's and then began working in the office as the On Call Manager. Susan now enjoys her role as Client Service Manager where she strives to maintain great relationships with the families and companies Nannies on Call works with. While she no longer works directly with the children, she still enjoys hearing all the stories that make her want to be a mom one day too!

Lisa Bruce - Placement Manager

Born and raised in the lower mainland, Lisa brings with her years of experience with children. Besides being the eldest of five children, she herself has recently become a new mom. Lisa joined Nannies on Call in April 2007 bringing with her experience in the hospitality and tourism industry. She is thrilled to be part of such a great company and looks forward to her future placing all our wonderful nannies with one of the many families looking for placements. In her free time, Lisa enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and son.

Leanne Hume - Nanny Recruiting

Leanne Hume has slowly inched her way into the Nannies on Call office first as a nanny, then as an after hours contact and now as Nannies on Call's new Recruitment Coordinator. A trained actor and painter; Leanne started nannying and teaching while traveling overseas. 10 years later Leanne has acted like a teacher all over the world. She also has started her own art business creating collaborative commissions for children's rooms. Leanne brings the same passion to her work with Nannies On Call as she does to her all of her artistic endeavors. Having recently become a new Mum allows Leanne valuable insight when interviewing and hiring new Nannies. Leanne is genuinely excited to be a part of such a positive team in such a dynamic company.

Vanessa Mani - On Call Booking Manager

Vanessa Mani started with Nannies on Call in August of 2005. Over the past 2 years, she has worked as a back up booking agent as well as a nanny. Before starting her current position as Booking Manager, Vanessa spent 8 years at a local community centre as the Assistant Childcare Coordinator, helping run both the Preschool Program as well as the Out of School Care Program. Vanessa is working towards her Bachelor of Arts, and is also interested in gaining future education in the business field. When not hard at work, Vanessa is hard at play on the softball field. Vanessa is thrilled to be part of such a wonderful team and is looking forward to what the future holds!

Melanie Dzeryk - Calgary Branch Manager

Melanie Dzeryk is the newest addition to the Nannies on Call team heading up the Calgary Office. For the past 7 years Melanie has worked in the software industry as a Project and Business Development Manager. Over the past year Melanie has enjoyed being a mom to her 2 year old son and has that mom gut feel and insight when hiring new nannies for the Calgary office. Melanie's education background includes a Degree in Computer Science and even a Certificate in negotiation from the Law Department of Harvard University. Melanie is excited to be part of such a dynamic team and looks forward to meeting the many great nannies and families within the Calgary area!

Brandi Bertrand - On Call Booking Agent

Anxious for change and the chance to pursue creative and academic opportunities, Brandi moved to Vancouver late November 2007 from Edmonton, Alberta . Within weeks of her arrival Brandi was delighted to join the team at Nannies on Call, driven by her appreciation for building quality relationships in a dynamic environment. Possessing valuable customer service experience as well as an interest in business and communications Brandi looks forward to a future of growth and development with the company.

Melissa Coleman - On Call Booking Agent

Melissa joined Nannies on Call this Winter. She was brought up in a single parent family and had nannies and childcare constantly while she was growing up. Needless to say she appreciates the company and it's purpose. Melissa has an extensive background in customer service and having lived both in the lower mainland and Whistler all her life she would be happy to answer any of your questions or query's. Currently she is attending Blanche Macdonald Centre to become a makeup artist. In her spare time she is more than happy to read a book, cook a great meal and get outside and enjoy her beautiful backyard, B.C.

Carmen Luong - On Call Booking Agent

Carmen was born and raised in Vancouver, BC. She comes from a very big family of 14 aunts and uncles with over 20 cousins. She was brought up by her grandma, neighbors, and babysitters. She joined Nannies on Call in February 2008 as a Booking Agent. She is currently studying Business Management at Langara College and is hoping that one day, she can manage her own business. In her spare time, she likes to plan her next vacation or little getaways from Vancouver.
